Grub flashing cursor

Hi,
Many thanks for this fantastic piece of software. I successfully managed to make a multiboot USB with a bunch of different linux flavor ISOs (Debian, Fedora-Workstation, Fedora-Server, Kali, LinuxMint, Ubuntu). Now when I try to boot my ASUS Essentio CM1855-US003S desktop with it, the flashing cursor appears [like so: grub> _] and I don't get a menu. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I read through the FAQs and followed the instructions given on question: Symptom: Flashing cursor - no Main menu on some systems, e.g. ASUS M4A89GTD.
... but it still hasn't worked.
Have you got any thoughts for me?

You don't appear to have a typical blank screen/flashing cursor problem but a grub4dos command shell prompt issue. i.e. it has booted to grub4dos but the menu.lst failed to run.
I suggest you try some grub4dos commands like help, root, find, geometry (hd0), map --status and report back what you see. Also check the BIOS boot options for USB booting. Please use the Forum to reply and not this Guestbook!

Hi Steve!
You really did a great job.
I tried to donate a small amount but two of my credit cards "couldn't be verified by the PayPal", as the system stated.
In fact, I didn't use PayPal (no account) but tried to use my credit cards direct. The page recognized correctly my two different cards. Besides, refused to verify them.
I'm not sure if the capital control in Greece has to do something with this refusal. I'll try to find out.
Thanks again.

Doh - now you tell me after I just released 1.72!
It is a problem with the code in menu.lst.
Try v1.72rev1.

This is the multi-boot tool for the many USB and CD drives my insane coworkers carry around. You have made it so simple and easy to understand that I spent an hour making mine, and then the rest of the day improving and customizing mine and build some for all but the deepest stick-in-the-muds.
Many thanks, your work is appreciated!

Just found out about this tool and it's awesome, created my new usb today with UEFI support. It's really easy to use with MPI tool pack, probs to the authors of Easy2Boot and MPI!
Great tool - thank you!

This is a very good and relative easy Tool to use!
I was using long time some or more less other tools and was looking for another, maybe better solution and found this.
For sure, a lot to read in the beginning, to understand how things work and how to customize it for your own needs.
But finally everything I expected is working fine and even more is possible. Maybe I'll try this out also ;)
Thanks for this very handy tool, I donated a few to say thanks for your work! Keep it up, it's great!
